Lillooet Employment Centre

Employment Counsellors will case manage and track their client’s progress. Employment Counsellors assist clients to set realistic and achievable career goals. In most instances counsellors work with clients until their action plans are complete. If the client was unemployed at the time of closure a post action plan was created.
Staff case managed clients that were involved in the following activities:

• Skills Development
• Job Search Activities
• Wage Subsidy program
• Self-employment program
• Job Creation program
• Employment Maintenance
• Skills Link for Youth at Risk Individual/Group Skill Enhancement program
• Skills Link for Youth at Risk Individual/Group Work Experience program
• Opportunities Fund program
• Other programs that clients entered into but are not a part of the above mentioned

Counsellors will ensure that all of the above mentioned programs eligibility criteria are met before referring a client. In most instances counsellors will case manage a client until the Return to Work Action Plan is complete.
